The Mrs went with the 4 channel HD Boom! amp & speakers on her new 14 SGS with the faring only speakers, she can always upgrade to bag lid speakers later, she's satisfied for now. I have the 4 channel Boom! amp & speakers with faring and lower speakers on my 15 RGS all in all I like the sound and can feel the bass over the rattle of the Stage IV engine kit up to 65mph (impressive).
As a previous Hog Tunes owner on my 07 RG w/ tour pak speakers and tweeter upgrade I noted a great ridabilty sound performance from my HT's system, but HT's doesn't have 4 channel to fit the new RG's hence I went with the HD Boom! I ordered a pair of HT's speakers and gave them a try in place of the Boom 6.5's and although the HT's can take full volume they are slightly tinny (good for older, deafer guys like me at freeway speeds) but I reinstalled the HD speakers and decided I really like the all HD system even though it was pricey.
