Default Infinity Kappa 62.11i

Just installed these in my tourpak pods and for the life of me I can't get the grills to snap on. Is there a trick or am I doing something totally wrong? Please Help!

Thanks, Bob

There's a piece that goes on top of the speaker that the grill snaps to. I'm assuming you know that but had to ask.

Edit: If you didn't take it out of the grill it's still in it. You have to take it out and it screws down on top of the speaker during installation.

If you put that on top of the speaker won't that leave a big gap? I put it under the speaker to use as the space as the instructions states.

Maybe the grill ring needs to be on the top then. The padding on the pod may be hindering it from being able to push down far enough to clip on. You've already did more than I did. I couldn't get the 62.11s in my pods at all.

The piece that SBates08 is talking about goes in on top of the speaker, not under it. there are groves that line up with the screw holes on the speaker, so it winds up flush when you screw it in.

SBates08 - I couldn't get them into the pods either. I wound up ordering a set of 1/2" spacers from Amazon. They dropped right in after that.

Here is a link:

Glad you chimed in Race I thought I was right but all my stuff is out in the shop and couldn't remember for sure.

Thanks for that link. I'll have to save that for sure. May need those for my lower pods too so that I can get the speaker out far enough for the grills to fit. I'm NOT spending $86 for CVO grills.

That might be the problem but seeing other installs with the same speakers I can't see any thing that I did to cause it.. I was also able to line the pod with polyfil. I think I will just keep trying and see if I can get them on.. I am sure someone here will be able to point me in the right direction..
