Long time member here and have torn down and built everything under the sun, but audio is just not my thing... Love it, but not in my wheel house, so here is my question ...
I wanted to add another set of speakers, I have searched till I cant make heads or tails... Saddlebag lids or lowers...
I think I have decided on lowers, since I ride solo 80% of the time , I really like the look of the speakers in the lids, but as most say, driver doesn't get most of the benefit, passenger does...
So what do I need besides the lowers of course, amp ? Do I need to have the unit flashed ?
I need the dummies guide to adding speakers here...lol

Call Bill at Biketronics. . . He will point you in the right direction on the 14'
Lids IMHO do make a difference - sound is more around you (which I prefer).
I am not a fan of Lowers but that's because I like the SG look better and I ride in the "desert" so any air I can get I'd like to... LOL
yes, lowers will give you more "sound of the money" but keep in mind 6.9 's are bigger therefore moving more air...
you will be spending less on lowers I think due to parts / paint...
not sure though...
Thanx for the input so far, no wrong opinions here, one of the things I have enjoyed about this site for years, so much info from lots of experience and many talented riders
