Wiring Soundstream PN.540
I have a quick question. I have the need in the near future to wire six 4 Ohm Speakers. Two pair of 5.25 and One pair of 6.5s. Both are Polks. On the 5.25s, can I just go positive to positive and negative to negative to pair the right side speakers (this would be in a Woodys fairing where you have two pair on each side) and then run that straight to the output of that channel and be at 2ohms? I would repeat on the other side. Is it safe for the amp/speakers? If so, is there any reason I can't use the other two channels to run my 6.5 speakers in my lowers (they would be at 4 ohms...)? Is this the best way to do it? Forgive the possibly ignorant questions...I gave this stuff up over 20 years ago...
