Ive decided to go ahead and buy the lowers and speaker pods instead of going the bag route. I do need some help with the components though. Not really sure what speakers and amp to go with. Im open to suggestions. Ideally I want to run pandora off my phone so Im guessing I can run a jack from the amp to my phone? Is there a way to incorporate some type of bluetooth controls on my bars for volume/skip etc? Also how are you guys mounting amps in your bags? Any help in the right direction is appreciated
Here's the same question I usually ask in posts like this: What is your budget? What is your current set up? If I was putting a system together on a budget (and I did) I'd use this amp
. You will then need the power wiring, fuseholder, and speaker wire. I'm sure you will get other suggestions, but each of these components are widely used here in this forum. I myself use it, except I recently swapped to BT 7.1's in the fairing. On the other hand, if money is no object, I'd go with just Biketronics gear (plus the Sony HU). It's the best out there and it's guaranteed for life, but it's pretty pricey. I've made the mistake of not listening to UltraNutz's advice on component selection and it costs alot to replace components that you're not satisfied with. What say you, forum?

JPJ is spot on. Nothing else to add. Can't beat any of the speakers he mentioned and I love the Sony HU. I think this company has the best bag set up I've seen out there:
