Thanks BlackPearl#1,
It's time I caught up on audio tech, I'm still stuck in the 70's lol. But I do have a few CD's. It seems like good ole FM is becoming obsolete. So if a new HU comes with HDFM does that mean stations are broadcasting a digital signal that I can recieve with it? And is the antenna I have good enough?( HD's hidden in fairing ) I do like the idea of loading up my phone with music and using Bluetooth to send it to the HU. Also the USB thumb drive option seems to be a good idea to consider when shopping for a HU. I should go to BestBuy and have one of the Geek Squad kids enlighten me before I decide on a HU.
Yes, the same antenna works for HD Radio. It's still the same broadcast principle of frequency modulation- the same way your rabbit ears or big aerial TV antenna worked when every OTA station went digital.
Had a good chat yesterday w/pp600v2 and he is light years ahead of me technologically, no question. Thanks for jumping in and helping out. And saving me!!!
