Dakota ANT-200 Digital Antenna Help
I am installing a Dakota ANT-2000 antenna in my faring and the instructions call for the small black wire (in the pic)to be wired to a 12 volt switched power source. Can anyone tell me why this needs to be done and what is the best place to tie into.

I'm assuming the 12 volts must provide power to some type of signal amplifier within the antenna.
I would splice it into a power source that's controlled by the key switch, so when the key is on, it's on, and off when the key is off!

The reason to have it on a switched power source is so you battery doesn't get drained when the bike is not running. There is a switched power supply in your headlight wire nest. I seem to recall the wires are black and red. If memory serves me, one of the wires has a red plastic cap on it.
