I'm currently running the Elf amp with Biketronics Titan 2 6.5's with stock HU. While it does sound better than stock, I've always been underwhelmed by the system. I would say it's fairly clear, as long as the bass is turned down, up to about 55-60 mph. Beyond that it gets distorted in a hurry if I turn it up to where I can hear it. I don't really want to add lowers or bag lids to bike, I'm really looking to get the most out of the fairing for a reasonable cost.
Question: Would the RF be a noticeable upgrade over the Elf? If not, what 2 channel amp would you recommend? I don't care about FM.
I've never tried the Arc 125.2 but I do have the PBR300X2 in a 2010 SG with a 107 too. I'm running the amp with 2 Hertz HCX-165 speakers and couldn't be happier. Plenty of volume and no distortion at any speed. The trick is to use at least 10 gauge wire for your amp's power connection and having both the positive and negative wires run back to the battery. I don't know your installation, but if the amp is starved for current at high levels it will distort the audio.
That's good because most of the good amps may impact your FM reception. The PBR is great for keeping FM reception, but if you don't mind losing it there are better options. Not sure of your budget? Those speakers can take a beating, check out:

I've run both Arc KS125.2 & RF 300x2 and I don't think you're going to gain any noticeable difference there. I actually liked sound quality little better on Arc running Focal K2's. Have heard some argue the Elf doesn't use same quality components as Arc on mobile audio forums. Have you set the gains using DMM on Elf?
I would look at the arc audio moto602 speakers and Moto600.4 amp. Its there new model amp that has 600watts rms and is 90% efficient. even though its a 4ch you would bridge both sides and get 300watts per side. The 602 are going to be better then most speakers out there. They are designed for long hour uses at max volume. Un like other that are design for cars not for motorcycles. If you do want that much power then get a Arc Audio 125.2 amp. http://www.arcaudio.com/p/moto-600-4?pp=24

Audioman -- I've seen a few post where you're a big fan of the Arc line. The 600.4 amp looks like a beast!! Great specs, would love to get to hear one.
The speakers though are 88db efficiency and rated at 65hz.
Thanks for the replies. Install is 10 gauge on power, smaller and not to batt on ground. Money isn't the first concern, but for twice the money i would want it to be twice as good. May look into the CV and PA options. Pretty cheap to try. Oh, my amp levels were set by ear.
Cant say much about the other speaker choices, But my dealings with Kappas vs Focal:
I had the Kappas, Got rid of them after 2 days. Got the Focals 165's. IMO, the kappas are a "better than stock" sound. But the Folcals turned the bike into a GREAT system. Its hard to hear the kappas being so good. But to each his own.
Also, both speakers were being run on the same RF300x2 amp.

Yeah they are, Ive use them in convertible where wind and noise is issues. they by far out performed speakers twice the cost. these are not cheap their self at the $379.99. I dont look so much in specs so much. I look at how they perform in real world situations.
