Default install gone wrong

Just replaced my Hog Tunes amp and speakers with an RF300x2 & Kappas. Replaced a Hawgwired adapter with metra setup. Not only can I not get the handlebar controls to work but my lights stay on even when the bike is turned off! What the hell did I do wrong? Think I'll take a break and try it again in the morn.

What he said. I would have replaced the amp and speakers but left the Hand control from HW in there.

Seems the PO had really hacked up the install job. After tracing all the wires in this bird nest think I'll just go back to the HW. It was supposed to be a plug and play w/ HogTunes amp. Will have to cut and splice a few wires, no big deal.

Got everything ironed out and hooked up this wknd. Sounds great thanks to all the audio gurus on this forum for recommendations on amp and speakers. Now the only problem is the very loud beeping at shut down, is there anyway to remove this or do I need to get a newer Sony HU? It's a Sony dsx-100, I would guess it's an older one, bike is a 2009.

I'm still in the middle of my install of RF amp and Kappa speakers...just started last night. Anyway ---I wasted about 30 minutes trying to figure out what I screwed up because I'd turn the bike off--the radio would beep along with the alarm/turn signals flash.

Finally, I went into the Sony menu into "sounds" I think....and turned off the sounds that occur when you press buttons. I crossed my fingers and BAM...it worked.
