Default Metra ASWC-1

Using the Metra ASWC-1 connector. A little nervous about this pink/white wire. Cut it and you want to go from the handle bars to the provided connector correct?

Doesn't matter but seems strange that is the only wore to splice and both sides of handle bar controls will work? This right?

Thanks.

You want to cut the pink/white wire on the side of the connector that goes to the handlebars (clutch side control harness) and attach it to a ground. You can use the cigarette lighter ground or the ground on the triple tree.

2010 Limited with some stuff

there is a STICKY in the audio section... handling all things related to ASWC-1... might want to read it and save yourself some time and frustration...

also - ground to triple tree... not ciggie lighter (how do I know!)...
recent change from Pioneer to Kenwood HU made me have to change the grounding.

Ok, so I think I got. Before the plug, cut the wire. From the handle bar gets grounded and the other end (towards harness/bike) splice the ire from AWSC.... Right? GTG?

After reading the sticky (can't open the link in first post here at work) seems I do not use the pick and white.

I guess why this was all so confusing, when I contacted Metra they told me to connect the link and white wire to the one coming from the bars.
