I didn't notice that this had been mentioned yet so apologies if this was covered.
BT streaming will be different than BT direct from your device, no? I have Amazon music and have set all my songs to play direct from my phone so I don't have to stream every time I am listening to music. I like to D/L via Wifi which loads an MP3 onto my phone and the app will also incorporate my already loaded MP3s to the playlist. Pandora (streaming only) is not nearly as good as my Amazon Music app...but they are both over BT.
Also, going 70mph it would really be hard to tell either way.
Higher the recorded bit rate = sound better. Now within iTunes for example you can convert a songs bitrate which will make the file smaller or bigger, this is useful when burning to a CD, moving to a drive, etc. However, let's say you downloaded a crappy version of a track from somewhere online and it was 128bps, and you convert it to 320 in iTunes it won't increase the quality of the sound. It will simply make a larger, louder just as crappy version!
A... NOPE. Converting 128 to f.e. 320kbps will not make it louder. Also will not make it better as you stated. Garbage in is garbage out. Simple lol.
