Default Splash guard

BT site shows their splash cover only fits with their retro install kit, does anyone know if it will fit others. I don't see why it wouldn't.. Bates you have one right? I was planning on getting the metra kit which is considerably cheaper than BT. UN advised to the the Vtwin(if I remember correctly) guard but at 80 bucks it's a little out of my range at the moment..I plan on getting all my stuff ordered today for a new HU install

Yep I have the BT and the Metra install kit. Works perfect together. I haven't rain tested it yet but I have test fitted it. Seems to have a good seal.

I have the BT splash guard as well. tight fit, actually almost too tight, I have my inner fairing painted and I can see where it`s rubbing the paint in the four corners. the splashguard has 4 little rubber-like pads on the four sides to make it tight. seems to work good. I only use it when bike parked and possibility of rain, like today here in Ohio.

Called to order the guard and vapor barrier today and the lady I spoke to proceeded to tell me their guard doesn't work with the metra kit, she did offer to sell me the install kit with a free defective splash guard.. Metra kit is 20 theirs is 50. She says the metra kit sticks out further making clearance an issue I believe.. She told me if I didn't work that I'd be on 20 bucks which is just what I plan on doing lol

I think he`s talking about that piece of plastic ( one side sticky ) that you peel off and wrap top and sides of radio with. keeps any water from entering top of radio. ( if it somehow gets through fairing) I think all " marine" radios come with it as well.
