Ok so I've been trying to figure out an amp and speakers for my 2014 sgs. So while reading I've kinda decided to go with the rf pbr300x2 and the kappas. So while reading I seen that the pbr300x2 is a class BR. I was under the impression that a class d amp works better on our bikes because you don't lose fm reception. What about a class BR?

It's the other way around my friend. You will lose your reception with the class D amps.
BR stands for "Boosted Rail Technology" You should not lose your radio reception with the PBR300X2.
You have it backwards. BR stands for Boosted Rail and that technology should not affect your FM. The class D technology can vary quite a bit and may or may not affect it.

Thanks so much for the help guys. I figured I'd get some kind of confusion lol. But since I've gotten your guys attention, I'll ask another question about the amp. I'm under the impression that the shorter the ground wire, the less the amp will heat up. Is that true? And if so, is there a good ground under the fairing? I think I've read here or somewhere that the guys were running the ground back around the battery ground cable but not sure.

Run the ground to the battery with 8 ga wire. I've been using NVX these days. True 8 gauge wire. You can buy it at Sonic electronix.
Thanks!! So now a speaker question. Are the infinity kappa 62.11i waterproof? I wash my bike a lot and I don't spray all up in the speakers but I do spray over them. Would that bother them at all?

They are not waterproof. I have them on my 14 Limited and they will be fine as long as you are not drowning them. A light spray pass on the inner fairing won't harm them. I've had mine in for almost 2 years with no issues.
