i have a jbl p662 in fairing and put kicker cs67 and they are sharp sound , they will good in car with sub but in bike , it is like u are hearing 2 different stations . i just put another jbl in rear pod with 1/2 in spacer from bestbuy. the new jbl are only 60 rms but they are more bass thank kicker . the kicker are still load though.
i even asked a guy at bestbuy and he said kicker are good if i have sub, and when i told hin for bike he definitely said get this jbl , they are most selling and they ghave more bass ,

Lol. . I'd like to meet this Bestbuy salesman that has probably never road a bike in his life. Okay man I give up. It's whatever sounds best to your ears. If you think the JBL's have more bass that's all that matters. Good luck bro!

lol, i didnt follow his advise, i had a pair of jbl p662 in fairing for couple weeks, then bought kicker cs67 from best buy this week, and put them in rear pods, no mod or spacer needed , and that where i compare the sound, i was going to start a video and post here but i didnt. took them back and got jbl 60w rms.
as i said the kicker are way louder. and if i didnt have the front fairing setup already i would like them cause i ll be comparing to the stock. i have pn520 amp, i which they had bass boost in that amp .

100 watts+ into a 60 amp speaker regardless of brand equals a blown speaker sooner or later. I recommend Kappas in a 6.5 speaker.

So I'm finally going to pull the trigger on an amp upgrade, but I'm torn between the SS 1000D, and Power Acoustic RZ4 2000D for sale in the classified..
I cam get the SS for $160, the forum member is asking $75 for the PA... Thoughts??

The SS has a higher wattage. I have the 2000D and like it well enough I haven't felt the need to change it. That said, a new amp will come with a warranty. You really can't go wrong either way for $75.

Yes Sir! I agree with John. $75 bucks for that amp is a steal!! Don't pay any attention to the power ratings on the 3000D. All marketing hype. The amp actually produces about 140 watts at 4 ohms and 250 at 2 ohms. Same as the soundstream 1000D. I've had both amps in my fairing and both are equally powerful. Can't go wrong with either amp.

Isnt that amp that is for sale a 2000d i thought that was the same as the pn4.520d and the 3000d and ss pn4.1000d were the same. If i am right then i know that the 2000d is a good amp because i have the soundstream version but i also have the newer soundstream sitting in the garage waiting for my bracket from j and m. Either way that is still a decent deal for 75 bux i just wanted to make sure u knew which one you were getting..2000d about $105 new and the 3000d is about $175 new
