Default Biketronics splashcover

Has anyone used the Biketronics splash cover with the Metro kit. I know that it says the cover will only fit the retro install kit but thought that for less than $20 I could try it. Got a cover and it looks like it would fit but the radio trim ring is too big. I have a Sony Mex-m70bt Head unit.

Did you use the face plate from the radio. I measured the cover vs the face plate from the radio and the face plate is about 3/8" longer and about 1/4" taller than the cover. Looks like I could try to trim the face plate down but don't know if it would affect the way it snaps onto the radio and don't want to screw it up.

The BT cover is the size of the hole in the fairing, not the size of the radio face. It will look similar to this. 2010 Limited with some stuff

I still need to get the radio mounted in the bike, hopefully have time tomorrow, so maybe it will make more sense to me and fit when I get that done. Guess I was thinking it would have to fit over the face of the radio. Thanks for the picture!

Just make sure you order the correct cover. They have one that fits with the HD chrome radio bezel and one that fits without the bezel.

Well, just got the head unit installed and it still won't fit. I ordered the correct one for my bike, the BT66, no chrome bezel but it won't go into the opening and on the face. The faceplate is still keeping it from going on.

I would see if you could return it and get the one that fits with the chrome bezel. I know for a fact that it fits. I suspect the difference is the depth of the cover.
