Connector / pin mapping between '96 style and '98-'13 style?
Trying to figure out what to do with non-functioning radio in wifey's '96 FLHTCUI / DFT trike.
Might be easy to put in a '98 style HK radio (or not).
Biggest difference I can see is that the '98 style radios have a single 23-pin connector, whereas the '96 has a 12-pin, 8-pin and 7 pin DIN. Has anybody figured out what hacking / splicing has to be done to adapt the 12/8/7 harnesses to 23-pin? I don't care about CB or intercom.
BTW, anybody know if the later radio is physically the same size?
I've got the wiring diagram for a 2010 touring and can send you what I have but you would need to crack the switch housing and see if the colors matched up and maybe a lil guessing/luck
