I bought these Kappa 62.11i speakers three weeks ago and have nothing but trouble with them. The speaker inputs have stopped working, These are mounted in my Harley, They quit while out on vacation. I stopped at Harley dealer, They loaned me a soldering iron, I bypassed the screw in connection, and it worked great!
550 miles down the road the other side did the same thing. This time it was radio shack to the rescue.
The one on the left side also had two mounting tabs broke, so I did what I had to do and glued the speaker to the mounting ring.
With all this they sound great!!!!!!
I don't know what has happened to your speakers. (quality control?) This is the preferred speaker to replace harley stock ones. I have been online and no one has had these problems. I have 4 buddies that are using these for over a year. I installed 3 of them. What gives????
I will await your responce before posting to the HD forums. If I got a bad set, S##T happens. I feel you should make it right.
Removing the glued one will be a chore and will destroy the speaker and the $40 mounting ring.
I called the customer help line, Talked to a woman I could not understand. She told me to call the Harley dealer. She said it must be Harleys fault. THIS IS POOR SERVICE!!!!!!!

I have a set of 693.9i that the solder connection has came apart in two places. they worked great until the solder came apart. It was a simple fax but irritating.
After numerous call to Infinity's service number, I have no satisfaction. I now have the right side speaker making buzzing and popping sounds. These have not been pushed that hard. Infinity's customer service SUCKS! They have been rude with every call I have made. I have been very professional in every call and response. It makes no difference!! They will never get another dime from me.
Sorry to hear this JR, be persistent, get a answer....that said, this is what doesn't happen with BT, Bill would have sent a new set. Period. I likey lifetime warranty, you pay a little more, but no headache. Good luck.
