Biketronics puts out a great product no doubt. Have heard it in the parking lot and at speed. And seriously considering it for my Limited. But I have to beg to differ on some of the comments about only sounds good in the parking lot/garage or those folks that have that type audio are not riding and only for competition. I have heard several of Chris Lowe's creations to include my own SG and best believe you can hear it loud and clear at speed as well and in many cases will drown out most folks you ride with with a crisp clear quality sound. Before passing judgement or making an assumption I would say ride with someone who has that type audio installed to get first hand knowledge.
On my SG I'm running:
1 set of Hertz SV165.1 (6.5) and ST35 horns in the fairing
2 sets of Hertz SV200.1 (8"s) and ST 25 horns in the bags
Powered by 2 Diamond Audio Micro4v2 amps

did I see your bike on a Fb write up? chris just had a bike with those lids
bet that set up rocks...
That sounds like a sweet set up man. Especially with both amps in the fairing. That HDP4 takes up half my bag!
Curious why didn't u put 35 in the bags also?
I'll do a video soon. I actually have the amps in there bags as well. Thought about the fairing but the way I had my wiring done just decided to leave them there. I actually started out with the 25's up front and the 35s in the bags but at the last minute switched them around. Didn't want to spend the extra money on another set of 35s and have the 25s just sitting around. So let just let it stand as it is.
Tuning the system is where its at no matter what you are running. Tuning is a art form that very few people have mastered. If the amps are not tuned right then you won't get that crisp clear sound. Sure you will be loud but it won't sound as good at higher volumes whether riding or parking lot pimping.

+1. I was reluctant to spend the cash on an SMD-1, but found it's been worth it. Using an RTA app get's me close on EQ but not nearly as good as a professional tool. But good point on the tuning, I've also considered one of the mini-dsp's. Any of your folks running one?
I'm still curious on checking out those diamond audio amps. If your considering BT for your Ultra, I'll send you a note now. I may have a special 4180 laying around I'd like to hear you comments on in comparison to the Diamond Audio. My next adventure are some double up 6X9 lids!

Nice!
Yea possible considering at least the speakers from Biketronics. The amp I'm running now in the Limited is a JL XD400/4v2. Good amp so I will be keeping that in there. What size speakers is everyone going with on the 14,15,16 Limited's?
Only reason I wouldn't do the 4180 is from what I understand you can't tune it. True or no? I've haven't heard anyone mention anything about running the mini-dsp's. Not to say they aren't but haven't heard anyone as of yet. I'm actually curious myself about them.
With the Diamonds @4ohms is 80W per and @2ohms you 150 per. The size and the clean power they deliver is what should me on them. Not too many amps out there have as clean of power as the Diamonds. But again at the end of it all it goes back to tuning. Some realize that but most don't.

.
I know DA Performance silver and red bike that won Daytona in 2014 had an audison DSP in it, and Chris's bike from Myrtle had a Memphis Audio eq. So folks are running them.

Ahhh yea thats right I forgot about Pete's bike from DA Performance. You know had I had of been thinking when I was down at Chris shop I should have inquired about the dsp's. He also had 2 bikes win at Round Up as well. Well I'll see him at Delmarva bike week next week, I'll ask him about it then.
On the speakers from Biketronics, what is everyone running? My Limited is what I'm on 98% of the time. I'm currently running Kappa Infinity's but wanted something a little more weather resistant where I don't have to worry about them.
