Default Removing CB/Intercom Wiring Harness

In order to remove the CB/Intercom wiring harness you must somehow get the harness & its large connectors through a "cable clamp" that appears to be riveted to the neck of the left side of the frame just in front of the gas tank. How does one go about doing this? Drill out the rivet? Cut the wires & hope you don't cut something you aren't supposed to? Disassemble the 35 pin connector in order to pull the wires through? Any words of wisdom from someone who has done this would be greatly appreciated. Bike is a 2011 Ultra Limited.

Sorry, no "Words of wisdom" but a question,, why do you feel it needs to be removed?

Have switched to an aftermarket HU and removed factory unit & cb. Just thought I would remove all extraneous wiring since I do not plan on going back to factory setup. Doesn't have to be removed - just something I would like to do to clen things up a bit.

Yeah I figured. That's a whole nother deal. I just took my time and slowly pulled it all out without cutting any wires. She lost her controls...oh well from the back seat with it all. It was a mess of crap.

I gave up my hand controls too. I see no need for stereo functions being in 3 locations spread out on the bike. One spot up front like the ol' day!

Band practice time...
