Having problems with radio. Turn on and start listening and all of a sudden it goes silent and then I look at the display and shows the little head set. It also goes dead while in the aux mode while listening to music from my I-phone. It just toggles back and forth while riding. Needless to say it's pretty annoying.
Called Harley and they said its probably the radio. Has any of you experienced this or is it time to replace?
If so, I remember seeing an exact replacement , but cant remember where I saw it and it was half of what HD wanted for OEM replacement ($800.00), what a joke to say the least.
Your thoughts and comments are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Headset mode is activating.
Can be a radio issue, but can also be a switch / harness.
Check the speaker switch on the fairing cap and the lines from that switch to the radio
Inside the fairing behind the radio? Not following you on a switch
Disregard the switch comment...misread what bike you had.
You will have 2 wires going to the 23 pin connector that activate the headset mode. Pins 21 and 13. If either of those is shorting to ground, the headset mode may activate.
