Default Road King Audio

Ok folks. After reading a ton of threads and internet searching I am about to start my radio system for my RK. I originally looked into a fairing, but I just can't do that to my bike. What I am most interested in is suggestions for the saddlebag lid speakers, front lower fairings with radio pods and amps.

My plan is to have it setup to be able to run from an ipod or my iphone. I plan to also run an inline volume switch as well.

Besides going MoCo for the front fairings is there another place that I can look and save some $$$$? What about the bag lids?

Thanks in advance.

I would run a Soundstream Nano 1000 watt 4 channel $150, Infinity Kappa 6x9 lid speakers $140, Infinity Kappas in front pods 6.5's $100.

That's my old bike in the link posted above. For the money, that system rocked. Had less than $500 into speakers and amps. Kappas would be an excellent choice. I'm a year-round rider, so was just dipping my toes in the water at the time and wanted to see how the system would do once exposed to the weather before I spent any real coin on it. I think I'm relatively comfortable now with just about any speaker that has a poly cone and rubber surround regardless of what the manufacturer claims about " weather resistant" or "marine grade" or whatever.

I've heard some good things about these items. It's $100 attached directly to an amp.

If the MTX MUDBTRC from crutchfield will work with the windshield Boom audio I think I will try it just for the advancing to the next track feature.the unit that comes with it is wired and only mutes volume and raises and lowers it.
