I did the same and recommend it.
When I install the BT stuff, I may build a whole new harness to carry power to the front through a relay and will add the remote turn on from that same source to trip the relay. We'll have to see how industrious I feel and how focused I am on doing it absolutely RIGHT!

Thanks, It's American Suspension's Short Neck Kit (38 degrees) and a 26" Rim. My last bike was a 2005 Big Dog Mastiff and before that was a 92' FXR. I'm actually on Oahu, but hopefully I can ride BI one of these days. Aloha \m/
