FlyingBroke - The harness that Bill originally shipped was for an installation with new wires to the rear Kickers whereas I used the stock setup to power, just a miscommunication.
Without the harness I've not even powered the Kenwood up yet - I do like the overall appearance of the mounting kit. But according to USPS my missing harness popped up in AR last night and is supposed to be delivered today (now that it's raining for the first time in 3 months...). Once I get everything installed I'll report back - if I can remember how to put it back together...
