In the link above I had 8 speakers running off that amp.

What are you looking to do. Even if it's in phases? This way you can get the right things as you go along.

Thanks bud...right now I am trying to get a decent upgrade using the RF amp I already have and a real adequate pair of speakers.

Down the road (IDK when) I would like to add some speakers on the tour pack or the bag lids for my wife.

Honestly I am not a real big stereo guy,..at my age my hearing is getting so bad I really can't tell the difference. What I want is a nice sound loud enough to be heard flying down the highway at 70 or so. Everything else is fun to think about but with two daughters in college I have to be practical.

Do you have the Fosgate PBR300x2 --- AND -- The Kenwood 3004??

I ask because being practical is a good thing and after I wrote my last post, I forgot to confirm if you already had BOTH amps. If you do --- keep them both.

If you do have the Kenwood that amp bridged has a crap load of power. Thing is you need to use 4ohm speakers when you "bridge" the amp. So the Kappas are a no-go since they are 2ohm. Return the Rokkers, and get yourself some BT 7P1's. If you use discount code HDForums you get 10% off. These speakers with that amp bridged will be PLENTY loud at 70mph.

Sell the Tweeter bar and get yourself some speakers for your pods and then use the Fosgate amp to power those. You should be set.

Check out the "Amp Dyno" on that amp here:

Ha Ha the video is what convinced me to go with the Kenwood in the first place.

OK here is the entire story. I bought the rf pbr300x2 new from amazon then I bought the rokkers used on ebay. The rokkers crapped out and i thought it was the amp so I bought the kenwood and after hooking it up realized it was the rokkers. I sent the rokkers in because of the lifetime warranty and right now I am waiting to hear back from them.

If they replace the rokkers with new ones I can sell them and buy the BT 7P1s. Otherwise I will have to go with the Infinity for cost reasons. I can keep the kenwood amp to power my tour pack speakers when I get them someday. I wont be able to return it and will probably not get much for it on ebay.

I think that is everything...lol

Sorry for being such a pain in the ***...

Ok....that sounds like a good plan.

Yeah if you have two amps, keep them. They both fit in the fairing together and provide enough power where you can hear volume at 70mph.

Goal now is to land some speakers! Good luck. Keep us posted.

Thank you again...very much.

Last question...if I use the Kenwood amp where can I mount it so it won't mess with the FM?

Another thought. I currently have the kenwood 3004 amp installed. I rarely if ever use the FM. Would the American Bass speakers work with the Kenwood amp bridged?

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

Man that's a lot of power for those speakers. Would it work -- yes. Would it sound good -- pretty damn good. As good as a set of BT's, well lets be realistic 250 speakers vs. 50.00 speakers!

What you will want to do is not max out the gains on your amp. For starters you don't want overheat the amp, secondly those speakers sound really good but the kappas with the right amp do get louder. I think the AB's have a better sound to them. For 50 bucks you can't go wrong.

Check out this post to hear them with a cerwin B2 amp.

Oh and you'll need some 5.25 to 6.5 adaptors (25.00 on eBay) and I'd get some polyfill (about 8 bucks at walmart) to cover the back of the speakers. Search polyfill here for pics.
