I remember seeing some pics here of a guy's setup that had two amps side by side on top of the radio, with the connectors running front & back. He had to use 90 degree connectors in order to slide the amps back in far enough.

Thought about that. But the 3000 is rather long. Not sure it would clear. Problem is I'm outta town til the 14th...so no way to try anything. Still no shipping info on my b2 either...
One other thing to consider with mounting another amp directly on top is heat transfer and causing over heating. Just a thought.
2010 Limited with some stuff
I thought about that...but the 3000 doesn't seem to get that warm. Not saying that it wouldn't and/or couldn't if i kinda covered it...my thought was to use some kind of plate with a1 /4" or so spacing between the amps. I didn't really want to set it right on top of it. But again, I'm not sure that there's room for all of this...is this what engineers go through?? Lol

I've been running my two BT-4180 set up for 9 months and it still works perfectly, looking back at the pics it is an ugly install but their both pretty good sized amps. I also tried the single amp with the 8 speakers and the sound when running both amps is much "stronger" I guess the word would be. It was loud and clear with one amp, but you feel it with two amps.

I saw your pic of your install. Good idea of positioning. Just made me personally a little nervous for ya as far as durability. But again, your positioning is definitely an option for me if on top of the other doesn't work.
I tried a bunch of different angles and positions, no where else would fit and still not hit the fairing. At least not with two big amps. The second amp on mine is pretty secure and doesn't move any more than the one mounted on top of my radio.
