Oh got it
Well I'm at a loss then as well. The only thing I can think of is avc as well. But even that seems a little bit of a stretch. Unless it was the truconnect line levelers. The BT ll's are set for our radios 85% volume and to remove the spikes in the hu bass and treble settings.
It is a pretty good head scratcher.
When I get the speakers replaced and in it is going to be pretty chilly around this part so I will have to either hope for no snow and dress warm or wait till the spring
You might want to call BT and talk it over with him. Those truconnect look like pac-35 which is what the bt product is based off. Bill might know if the gain or filter settings on it can cause this issue.
It looks like you set everything right and it's either avc or the LL

I agree with Ragz. I'm thinking it's a combination of both with the new HU. I'd say the present (truconnect) line levelers don't play well with the stock HU. Very unusual to blow ALL the tweets. Bill's new LL's are your solution.

But what doesn't make sense is it didn't happen until I was at highway speeds, low speed and when running the system in aux position (engine off) there was no problems

Two possibilities:
1. The obvious = AVC
2. In the garage with the motor not running your charging system is cranking out approx. 12.5v if your battery is up to speed. Running down the highway with the stator charging the battery you are operating at approx. 14 to 14.5V. hence the soundstream amp is producing more power going down the road. On top of that if you did not set the gains with the engine running and turned the volume way up to compensate for the exhaust and wind noise most likely your speakers were in distortion mode the whole time you were riding.
As previously mentioned the JBL speakers in the pods are very weak speakers and won't take much power anyway. let alone distortion. Couple all that with the AVC turning up the volume the faster you go = blown tweets.
Yeah like you said it's a head scratcher for sure.
In aux you only have 12 volts draining off the battery. When on you are whatever your charging system is putting out. My ultra does 14.4 I believe.
Your speakers are pretty good and if the truconnects are the culprit maybe it's just how long they were able to survive until sudden failure. Odd though that all 4 went at once, I'd expect 1 set to go then the other
