Thanks BabyBoy! Just did some shopping on amazon and those 3 things you suggested came to 325 shipped! Now I just need to do some more research on what the pros and cons of replacing the head unit are...
Read my post above. I added links to everything you need.
The radio is one of the popular ones used here but it can be changed if need be.
I forgot this crucial piece of the puzzle. This is the mount and interface for hand controls for your HU. There's a cheaper way to do this but after using one in a recent install this is the best way to go. Call Biketronics to order this and tell them you a HDForums member for a discount. This will put you at your high end budget of $800

Alright sounds good, I just looked back at your reply and looks like Christmas will be coming early for me! Once again, I appreciate the help! Thanks Bates and everyone else.
The Sony mex70 BT has 2 USB inputs. One in the faceplate itself where you can insert a music stick and another usb which comes off the back of the radio which I ran up and into one of my windshield bags. I hide one of those mini iPods about the size of a 50 cents piece in the bag, I have a stick in the face and a cd in the slot. Unit also comes with a remote control and has more features than I'll probably ever use. I like it a lot. Also you can change the color of your face plate light between red and blue at the push of a button. Cool unit. Weather resistant too.
