Default Rushmore Radio?
Hey guys/girls, I see people installing single din head units into their Rushmore bikes,

what is the reason that we cant install a double-din in place of the infotainment unit?

Is it fitment?

Is it that no one makes a faceplate kit?

or some other reason?

I think its the bracket? But im not 100% sure. Hit up vtwin audio though, brian was working on a double din for an alpine install.

Yea its been almost 2 1/2 years it sure would be nice to have more options, thanks.

There's a piece of the inner fairing that's in the way. If you're not afraid to cut your bike, it shouldn't be a problem.

Problem is, because it requires more modification than most ate willing to do, I don't imagine anyone's going to make a mass produced face plate.

That being said it has been done, search the forum, there's at least 2-3 threads on the same setup.

Tried searching before posting, it appears if you don't put in the exact words as the thread was posted its a hard to find anything.

there's a group on facebook, Harley Davidson Bagger Stereo, there's a guy on there selling a kit with a cutting template included.
