so reading through the manual (yeah I probably should have done this BEFORE I installed ) I came across this little tidbit:
2/4 Channel Switch
Setting this switch to the 2CH. position, switches the inputs to
a 2-channel mode, allowing connection to only the front inputs
with a 4-channel output.
Output controls function the same as if the amplifier was in
4-channel mode.
All ACTIVE inputs must have RCA jacks connected.
Switch in 2CH. position,ACTIVE - Front channel inputs only.
Switch in 4CH. position,ACTIVE - All Front and Rear channel inputs.
NOTE: When connecting to the 4-Channel inputs, be sure to route both
front and rear RCA cables tightly together.
So am I reading this correctly that because I have a stock 6.5 head unit and only front output, I'd keep this in 2 channel mode but use the front AND rear outputs from the amp (assuming I'm running 2 sets of speakers, fairing and lowers)? This way I'll get the full power to each set of speakers using all 4 channels?
Sorry, still learning as you can see so school me if I'm wrong please.
forgot to mention, I was going to use "Y" splitters from the Biketronics Line Leveler. SO I can just eliminate the "Y"'s right? or is there a benefit to having the 4 inputs even though I have a stock HU?
either I'm really dumb or this is like a Jeopardy question...
Lol. . . No jeopardy question bro. All you need is two line levelers for the 4 channel amp. Run the fairing speakers on the front channel and the lowers on the rear channel. You only need Y splitters if you add another amp. 2 channels = 2 speakers.

I got that normally, the bit that's throwing me is where THIS amp says I can have it set as 2 channel input (because with the stock harness I only have 2 channels coming out of the head unit to the amp), the amp will in turn function as a 4 channel amp for output.
Am I reading that wrong?
or do I actually have 4 channels coming out of my head unit somewhere in that harness?
all I need to know now is is it ok for me to run the stock 2 channel outpt from the HU to the Line Leveler, then into the amp (as only 2 channels) the utilizing the amps ability to output 4 channels from that 2 channel input
or
buy another line leveler, split the harness and use the rear blue wires to input 4 channels into the amp?

For four speakers you will need to set the amp switch to 4ch. Purchase two LL's. Which LL's you need depends on how you wire the rear speakers, spliced or the BT Breakout harness.
