Hey guys, that was me who suggested the amp on a budget build. Between the PB and the SS I would def lean to the SS...except for pricing. I only endorsed the PB amp because I got it on closeout for around 50 bucks, the SS costs double that. Point of my initial thread was better sound on a tight budget...any amp for around 50 bucks that works decent is great when doing a budget build.
I did use the low level inputs on the amp, culprit could either have been the Aquatic head unit or the amp. Either way the high level hook up sounded horrible, low level totally different story.
MikeTD3, let me see what kind of package I can put together for you tomorrow when I get to the shop. I have all the brands, if I can put together something more cost effective for you I will! At the very least I can check costs on the equipment and let you know if that's a good deal.
Thanks for the offer to help, it's very much appreciated!
I already have the Polks and the amp arrives tomorrow, so I'm down to the HU and related install items. Shoot me a PM when you find what you have available.............. thanks again!

No problem! I need to get updated pricing on that Kenwood unit, plus want to see if my distributor has anything good on closeout/special. I'll know more tomorrow.
