Default Help!! Adding hand controls to road king

So on my 06 RK, i added hand controls from a street glide to work with my stereo in the fairing that i added to the bike. But now im looking to remove the fairing and go back to looking like a road king.

My plan now is with no fairing, if i have an amp that is bluetooth capable so my ipod will work with it and 6x9 speakers in my lids. Also thinking of getting lower fairings with speaks. is there a way i can use the hand controls to work with this setup? example: use the volume of my hand controls for volume. use next to switch songs, etc. i dont like having to take my hands off of the handlebars to adjust volume or skip songs..

What amp will work for me?

i do have the PAC SWI interface i needed to make the hand controls work with the stereo which is a pioneer. any one that can steer me in the right direction?

Without a HU on the bike, not sure how or what they would control. You could maybe find a way to mount the radio in a saddlebag, may not be the best option.

Or Kicker has this http://www.kicker.com/42PXIBT1002

are you trying to use the stock handlebar controls?

I've found this: http://www.tsukayu.com/Handlebar%20remote.html but it's an addon piece.

I'm actually trying to figure out a way to use handlebar controls (on a Rushmore Bike, a little trickier) but without a head unit. Looking at streaming from a phone or tablet. I have everything else figured out but like you, the handlebar controls are a road block. Without a head unit it seems almost impossible (almost )

The easiest way for you to do it would be to mount your head unit in a bag and run your PAC SWI interface to it.

how about this beauty!

https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT510/streamblue.html

StreamBlue is a super high-quality Bluetooth 4.0 audio streaming interface that provides a seamless and secure bi-directional wireless connection from your tablet or smart phone. The included and selectable analog RCA or digital S/PDIF (electrical coaxial) allow the StreamBlue to be used by itself, directly connected to a factory or aftermarket audio input or aftermarket amplifier, or to a third party audio processing unit with either analog RCA or digital S/PDIF input. StreamBlue supports pairing of up to 8 different devices and provides a 1 AMP output to turn on external devices whenever a paired device is active.

Additionally, when used in an application where a tablet or smart phone is used to replace the factory radio, the StreamBlue, coupled with a vehicle compatible steering wheel control interface from PACŠ, MetraŠ or iDatalinkŠ, allows steering wheel control functionality for safety. Please check with the manufacturers of these steering wheel control devices to ensure compatibility and functionality with your vehicle prior to installation (factory radio cannot coexist with the StreamBlue for steering wheel control functionality).

more digging found this: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT455/steerblue.html

The NAV-TV SteerBlue interface gives you the ability to control your mobile Smartphone or Tablet from your factory steering wheel controls. This is a great option if you have a Tablet mounted in your dashboard for control of volume up and down, track up and down, pause & play, as well as device dependent voice recognition, home screen or task manager. The interface must be used in conjunction with a vehicle compatible steering wheel control interface from PACŠ, MetraŠ or iDatalinkŠ and is limited to these devices' ability to properly deliver steering wheel command information to the SteerBlue interface.
this might work with your BT amp, not sure on that
