Adding lowers and tour pak speakers
Currently running soundstream pn4.520 amp with kappa 62.11i up front and 693.11 in the rear on a 2010 FLTRX with Kenwood HU. Looking to add another 4.520 amp to power speakers in the lowers and tour pack. Would I run into any issues if I ran a set of HCX 165s (or any other 4 ohm) in the TP and lowers since they are on their own amp? Or am I better off trying to keep the whole system 2ohm?

You can run whatever you want on the other amp. It doesn't have to match what your already using on the other amp. As far as that goes, on a 4ch amp you can run 2ohm and 4ohm together.

With 4 ohm speakers you need to upgrade the amp to the SS 1000D. For $50 bucks more it's worth it. The 520 will run 2 ohm speakers just fine. But with 4 ohms speakers it taps out. That said. if you're dead set on getting another 520D. You need two ohm speakers.

Thanks. I already had another 520D sitting around so unless I sell it and get the 1000D looks like ill be deciding on 2ohm speakers now.
