So I've went through two amp systems in my 09 SERG. Both were Biketronics matched systems. Don't know why but the first one lasted about two months. The second one first trip out lasted about an hour. Just no output from the amp. First question, is the stock stereo compatible with the BT systems? Second question, what stereo, amp, speaker system would you recommend? I want a plug and play no messing around with relays or servos just wire in wire out. Thanks for the input.
Nope, in fact when they quit working I just rode a different bike. The one that's in there now was installed last year. I'm sure I no longer have the receipt for it nor do I even know where I bought it. I really don't care about warranty I just want a system that works and I don't have to mess with it anymore.

Very Strange. What model Biketronics amps did you have?
To answer part of your question.....yes they're compatible with the stock HU. They're designed for simple plug n play. And they do an even better job when paired with an aftermarket HU. Did you do the install?
No I had a friend do the last one. I installed the first one. They did go in easy following instructions supplied with them.
I have another friend that had his upgraded by a local shop and I might try them this time.
I would start by contacting BT about your amps. They're customer service is unbelievable. That is unless you've gotta pocket full of money burning a hole in your pants. Those amps aren't cheap brother.
Thinking about adding speakers to the lids on the bags. I'll need a different system for the rear speakers also.
Your solution is to reach out to Bill @ Biketronics and negotiate a deal on the BT4180 if you're looking to add speakers to the lids. Not sure what happened to the 2180 but Biketronics has an excellent reputation for customer service.
