Default 2013 Lid Speaker ??

Currently running HAT 5x7" in my '13 CVO RG bag lids. Does anyone make an adapter ring to install a 6.5" round in the lids?
Currently have Focal KRC's in the fairing I want to stuff in the bags, and replace
them with the KRX2 in the fairing..
Have tinnitus in one side, thinking the KRX would be better for me to hear, and the KRC be a better option for my sweetie to hear out of the lids (she wears a full face).

Thanks in advance.
G.

Tailwind has 6.5's in his lids, adapted from 6x9's. It's a Rushmore Street Glide though so not sure if the adapter he used is specific.

If he hasn't answered in a day or so, maybe shoot him a PM.

Well I started with a 6x9 hole in the lids then put the KRX2 in there, so I think you are going to have a hard time getting an adapter for 5x7 to 6.5 mainly because the 5" wide part is simply too small for the 6.5 diameter.
Metra and Scosche have the market cornered for these adapters so if it were me I would buy the 12 buck 5x7 to 5 1/4 adapter and get the dremel after it to see what kind of customization u can do.
Part 2 is that I would strongly recommend dropping some speakers inside the bags facing the wheel to get some bass that will be an amazing compliment those Focals.
I will say that those KRX2 will be absolutely sick in the fairing as long as u can get the tweet mounted in a good spot.
Sorry I could not help!!!!

Thanks guys. Speakers in the bag aren't an option. A don't want to cut up the CVO bags, and B, space is already at a premium for when I tour lol. Only worried about lid speakers for my better half. I'm half deaf, can't hear a thing out of them myself.

Yup, a pre-existing tweeter hole in the dash already, just remove the stock Boom speaker, and zoom!
Just wanted to re-use the KRC, seeings how I already bought/paid for them, if possible.

If there is a will there is a way. Get the 5x7 to 5 1/4 adapter and do a little modifying of this $12 adapter and I bet they will fit.

Then work with some of these gurus on dialing things up just a bit on the bass and all will be good.

For $12 clams versus a couple hundo for killer 5x7s is worth a shot. I zip tied my crossover to the lid hardware under the cloth flap so essentially all bag space has been preserved.

Good luck!!!
