Default polyfilm

I installed polyfilm around my speakers like every one mentioned in previous threads. I was surfing around today & came upon this site. It uses a product called fast rings 6.5" 3 piece speaker kit. I might buy a set & try it out. The place is called cartoys.com, if some one could look at this and give me your opinion & see what you think. Looks interesting.

I am a fan. Every little bit helps and I think that these do provide some subtle improvements.
This is what they are intended to accomplish:

Improve mid bass
Reduce Panel Vibration
Reduce destructive wave interference
Help prevent front and rear wave cancelation
Focus all your sound towards the cabin

Of course these and damn near all of this audio stuff really is best suited for controlled environments but I will take all I can get from the above list.

Hope this helps!!!

T.

The fast rings are more designed to fill the void between the woofer and a door panel to eliminate the gap where the speaker cutout is on door panel. In the fairing of a bike since we mount the speakers from the rear instead of the front I am not sure they would do anything really but take away from the lower end response. I will be using a sound deadener on the outer fairing and inner fairing and will see how it helps acoustically. I think of fast rings like these things. They actually choke the woofer down and reduce the overall performance. Anything behind a woofer in an enclosure is designed for weatherproofing.
