Guys,
I have finally taken a video of system. I would like input from you guys as to your thoughts. Am I being too picky in wanting more, how does it sound to you guys? At the furthest point I am 145yards away and there is an interstate highway 50feet in front of the bike.
System is Focal 165KRC's, Focal 570's and a BT4180 amp with BT Line Levelers
I have everything set to factory settings and you can see where the bass and treble are set. I was still 4 "dots" short of full volume.
Please, I will take all input.
Please forgive the song choices, I realized when I went to record it that I couldn't use my phone to stream music AND record form 150 yards away. That was on the radio and I have no antenna
Well ........... I am no Audiophile but when you can hear what radio station you are listening to from a football field and a half away, Your doing pretty good !
Sounds good,, wouldn't use a radio station for test though,, just my personal opinion, LOL, I looked at the Focal for my dash, 6.5s and I had Focal 570s bought for my BT 4180, was afraid they wouldn't take the input at near or full volume, (not rated anywhere near 100w RMS and we can't set gains on the BT amp,,(No complaints there for me anyway) so I went with Arc moto 602s with BT 5x7s in my lids. Not from anywhere near as far away, though I have vid of over 100yd. Check my Sig link.
Sounds damn good. Now if u continue to chase the audio unicorn, throw some Moto 6x9s inside the bags and u will get some really good thump to supplement the Focal SQ.

Very nice job bro!!!!

T,
Thats not funny...
One of the reasons for the post is because I wanted to hear what others think about the sound, I personally think that it needs more bass and I am thinking of swapping the 5x7's for a set of Moto 692's.

I couldn't resist!!! Sorry!! I just hate that little effer!!
The Moto 692 is a damn good speaker but I will tell from experience that if u pull the Focals from the lids and install the Motos in their place you will then scratch ur head missing the Focal hit and clarity coming from that stage. It's a vicious cycle.
Get a NVX MVP A4 and a set of Moto 692s. Bridge the amp and power the 692 inside the bags facing the wheel with some hidden holes drilled in the bags.
Ur eyes will water regarding how well rounded this will sound.
If u pull the Focals from the lids, u will miss that SQ and hit in a big way. Both great speakers, just a different type of ear candy.

Will the 692's produce the same amount of bass in the lids as they do down below in the bags?

Damn good question!!! Could not begin to answer that because when I installed them in the lids, I was missing what my ears value most, SQ, hit, and range.
Totally subjective. Sorry!!!
TW do think that amp even bridged has enough *** to make them 692's dance? I running one pair of 692's off a TN4.900D bridged, that's 450 watts per speaker, and I haven't hit their clip limit yet I'm being very conservative with them though.
