Smile 2009 FLHTCU-will audio quality improve if...

...I only replace the stock speakers? Or I have to rebuild the entire system? I don't want to spend a fortune, even though I might end up doing it. But at least I would start from somewhere.
If I only start with the speakers what would you recommend ?
Thanks!

Of course anything is better than the stock speakers, but no real improvement at hwy speed until you add an amp.

Save your time and money until can do both.

I put the Boom Speakers and Bass Port Kit when I first got my 2009 FLHTCU. Minimal improvement around town. Out on the open road ( Interstate ) there was no discernible improvement. Save you money. The audio section here has some very knowledgeable members ( Ultra Nutz, Glacier Pearl to name a couple ) who offer great advice.

I have made several changes, but long story short, right now I have biketronics 7.1 in front, arc audio 5.25 in rear and a Rockford fosgate pbr 300x4 amp, still not satisfied. I just order a Kenwood KMR d765bt to replace the stock hk unit.
