Thanks. FYI. The protection light is NOT on. The green light is bright and glowing. Ohms on speakers across coil are spot on. It is as if the amp has nothing to pass on to the speakers.
Looks like you have it narrowed down. Curious as to why the headlight is touching the harness. I the headlight stock?
With the fairing off can you provide a couple of pics including the back of the HU?
Don't have pictures at this time. But the headlight is not stock. It is the Phase 7 truck lite. Seems deeper. Also wires at the harness where cut short to hookup to amp. That made it a bit bulky. The headlight lines up with the back of the stereo. I am looking for anything that may be a cause. Since the only thing that may change is pressure on wires. Well that's a guess. Thanks

With the fairing off you could put some pressure on the area in question to try to repo it. You will also want to open up the harness and start inspecting each connection. Who knows what the previous installer did.
A little feed back. When I checked his wiring found the wires frayed where the amp screw holds them down. So I soldered them to make a solid connection. I have some before and after pics. I also did mine. I had no trouble but I don't want any either. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the feedback. Tinning the wires is a very good practice.
Putting a tiny amount of blue Loctite on the very top threads of the hold down screws will help prevent them from backing out also.
