I own this amp & have infinity kappas 62.11i speakers. I was wondering if anyone else have this set up & what do u have the gains set at? I read how to set by ear but just wondering who has dealt with this.
If you are using the stock head unit on 13 and down they start distorting at the 1/2 volume mark using a 1k 0db test tone and on the Rushmore head unit using the BT355 line levers(recommended) the distortion is very low if any detected all the way to full volume with the 1k 0db test tone.
I would Recommend setting gains as per the sticky via DMM and only pushing 20vac to the KAPPAS to keep from blowing the tweeters.
Also once all is said and done Make sure you turn OFF THE AVC on the head unit.
I have my frequency around 40hz, gain about 1/2 way & set on hp. Stock hu on my 2012 street glide. Distorts about 1/2 volume. I was wondering if this is the way suppose to be? Does the AVC have to b off?
