does polk MM6501 fits lower fairing flush
i wished i would have ordered one but being in hurry i simply asked for 8 since i was under the impression these must be some different threaded screws and by the time i got aware of cost it was billed to my name already and all was left was the payment.
lesson learned.
if anyone one can help me know how can i get the same loudness with less gain i would really appreciate. also is there any downside of dialing the amp gain that high ? will it make the amp hotter and shorten the life ?
here are some pics from the work done
Lower fairing and pods painted and buffed.. i think i did a decent job given this was the second time i was painting.
tweeters attached to Grills
Back of the grill, Hot glued the wire from middle to make sure the wire and glue doesnt touch each other when woofer start to move up and down. also had to chop off few mm;s from the steel bracket holding the tweeter pods
I have also being doing some research as to where to mount the amp and thought i could do it inside the nacelle. i opened the nacelle this weekend and boy what a real estate it has inside, i can easily fit 1 1/2 times the size of RF PBR300 still with a room for more.
the amp easily fits between the top and bottom bolt. just working on creating the mount, hopefully would be done with the mount this week.
eagerly looking forward to the weekend
here's a pic of amp sitting inside the nacelle.
all it need is a bit of rubber cushioning between the amp and bottom screw.

wire being tucked inside the tank.
all wires hidden under tank.
am awaiting PAC LD-10 since the sound has been on much lower side for using RCA from MTX MUDBTRC.
went for a ride, with full face helmet the sound was clear at 75mph. i could only wish if the wind noise could be somehow controlled on my helmet but i cant complain having to listen to music on a softail along with Bluetooth controlled which actually help on changing tracks while riding.
this completes the project and couldn't have happened without the support from scootlover, Ultranutz, gannicus and Bert.
Note to Mod, if you can change the subject to something relevant might just help others trying to fit RF pbr in nacelle and installing speakers in clean manner.
