lesson learned.
Let us know how it comes together.

much work has happened over last couple of weeks, i tested the whole setup with open installation and wire hanging outside and the good news is the system works although i had to dial the gain on my amp to position 9 and not like many people says that they cant go past 5-6. i wasnt sure why but it can be the RCA out from the MTX bluetooth controller.

if anyone one can help me know how can i get the same loudness with less gain i would really appreciate. also is there any downside of dialing the amp gain that high ? will it make the amp hotter and shorten the life ?

here are some pics from the work done

Lower fairing and pods painted and buffed.. i think i did a decent job given this was the second time i was painting.

tweeters attached to Grills

Back of the grill, Hot glued the wire from middle to make sure the wire and glue doesnt touch each other when woofer start to move up and down. also had to chop off few mm;s from the steel bracket holding the tweeter pods

I have also being doing some research as to where to mount the amp and thought i could do it inside the nacelle. i opened the nacelle this weekend and boy what a real estate it has inside, i can easily fit 1 1/2 times the size of RF PBR300 still with a room for more.

the amp easily fits between the top and bottom bolt. just working on creating the mount, hopefully would be done with the mount this week.

eagerly looking forward to the weekend

Finally amp fitted inside Freight train nacelle, took me to create 2 Z type bracket and it fit flush. will start final wiring tomorrow. should be finished in couple of days.

here's a pic of amp sitting inside the nacelle.

all it need is a bit of rubber cushioning between the amp and bottom screw.

Looking good. Did you try fitting the headlight back on?

yes Bert, it does, infact there is nearly half an inch or about space in between amp and light.

couldnt take out the Tank, so had to take the bike to dealership for tucking in the wires, having a creative technician has its plus.. lol

a shot from the WIP :

wire being tucked inside the tank.

all wires hidden under tank.

am awaiting PAC LD-10 since the sound has been on much lower side for using RCA from MTX MUDBTRC.

well finally the LD-10 showed up yesterday and it was quite a breeze installing it. had to set the gain on it to roughly 60% and that made world of difference to sound.

went for a ride, with full face helmet the sound was clear at 75mph. i could only wish if the wind noise could be somehow controlled on my helmet but i cant complain having to listen to music on a softail along with Bluetooth controlled which actually help on changing tracks while riding.

this completes the project and couldn't have happened without the support from scootlover, Ultranutz, gannicus and Bert.

Note to Mod, if you can change the subject to something relevant might just help others trying to fit RF pbr in nacelle and installing speakers in clean manner.
