I went on the Hertz website, which speakers for the fairing would you recommend?

The setup i used on my bike for a while.

Sony Mex m70bt Head unit
MPX 165s in the fairing
MPX 690s in the lids
Diamond micro 4v2

Great solid setup. With alot of sound.

There is a bunch of other options like pro audio or even some on the cheaper end that still have big big sound and clarity.

But in your budget range you literally have thousands of different options lol

Here here G-man....To the guy posting......Since my upgrades from a old RadioSound with Hogtunes, then arc mini amp, 6 1/2..Sold that for my 2180, Alpine HU, and 7.1 BT. Now all BT, 4180, Hertz 6.1/5 lowers and couldn't be happier, plus a lifetime warranty to boot. So it's a little pricey, but well worth the chasing around to get the sound when you hear me roll by you.
Do it right the first time...Done.

What would be your best choice of amp to match the 6900 Pro?
Put aside the FM reception issue.

BT4180, Arc Moto 600.4, Hertz HDP4, SS TN4.900, SS PN4. 1000D.

Any of the above. Best SQ is going to come from the 4180, Arc and Hertz.

Best thump is going to come from the SS amps.

You really love those SS amps don't you?
I suspect these speakers are going to be really bright with the 600.4

Yes Sir. I do like the SS amps!! Especially the TN4.900! Guys bash em for lack of SQ and I could see that if they were installing a system in a brand new Porshe. Or on the bike competition circuit. But for the average Joe out here just wanting loud and clear at 80mph. The soundstreams are perfect!! I've had ALL those high dollar amps and trust me at 80 mph it ain't that much of a difference.

Very nice quality equipment here. But as a package I'm curious as to the rational behind choosing an amp that doesn't meet the minimum continuous power rating of the speakers? It seems to me that there's a lot of potential sound quality being left on the table. And a lack of headroom needed for peaks in the audio signal.

You are correct in that Assumption of power rating. However through testing we have found out to be a very efficient system and the reason for that is because it does the job intended to do. 80 mile an hour down the highway clear and loud. When your talking about a price specific point this setup choice does great at accomplishing your goal.
While you are not running full power like you stated it doesn't matter. I subscribe to the policy if it works I don't really care about what the number says. Just my opion
