The 800.4 looks like a beast! Now I wonder how hard it would be to put under the hood on an 07 SG! Has any body on the forum used this amp besides BaddAzz on the RG's. Does anybody know off hand how it compares in size to the SS 1000 Amp! Edit... 800.4 is 9.35 L x 5.27 W x 1.75 H...SS PN4 1000D 10.25L x 4.75W x1.50W...SS TN4.900D 8.875L x 6.87W x1.75H looks like a tight fit but do able!
If you have an aftermarket radio like the Sony our amp mount that we make for the 13 down Batwing will fit the hXm under the fairing. We just test fitted it.

Everyone wants to mount the amp flat. I've seen Cams amp mount in pics and it is angled, giving more surface area to mount to. That being said, this could/should open up a whole bag of worms to mounting other amps under the hood!

You thinking the 800.4 will run those new HAT's you have?
Yeah Bert, I think that would be the ticket...170 rms should wake those Biatch's right up!
I would want some headroom myself Mike. Every amp is different and even if overrated you need to have a little headroom there and you will leave none. I would get a 4v2 bridged over the 800.4 in your case.
Yeah Slye, the xtra rms would be nice but I'm also running lowers, I could run 2-4v2, but I don't want to run 3 amps on the bike! Their only getting 115 rms now so getting 170 will be a big improvement! The 4180 will go in the tour pak running the back four HAT's, that should get me to the next level! Now If I could figure out how to put horns in the lowers I could...lol

With that Diamond and your other amp 1 will be a bag amp. Likely the Diamond. For the cost just get a hdp4 and be done with it. Bag amp the Hertz, Keep the 4180 under the fairing. If no bag space your barking up the wrong tree, unless tourpack is an option. Still hdp4 over the Diamond IMO.
The reason i'm doing this is in the first place is to put an amp under the hood that has gain controls on it and so I can run more juice to the Legatia's and a little less to the Titan II's in the lowers! The 800.4 looks like it has more HP then the Hdp4 and is also smaller, easy to fit under the hood. I also would consider the Arc 600.4, but again the Diamond has more HP!

If you go that route I would leave the 4180 under the hood and out whatever in the tourpack. You have unlimited options to an extent at that point. I am sure the Diamond will do well, I personally think the HAT need more than you are thinking. It is always wort a shot. Quality product by Diamond no doubt. I was warned about my Hertz needing well over 200 per side . I tried close to 200. Wasn't enough. Now at 250 per side they are happy. Just saying talk power over with HAT before you make a final plan. The Arc is a great fit and you have the head unit to eq it. But you know the opportunity to try the new kid on the block is in your corner. Toss it in the tour pack and see what happens. I only say put diamond or whatever in tourpack since the footprint is much bigger than the 4180 and the 4180 is already mounted.
