Looking to up grade the fairing speakers in my '88 Ultra. I am limited to 4" speakers up front. Plan on adding speakers to the lowers in the future. Have a PN4.520D amp, if that helps. Any suggestions would be great.
I run the DB402's in another bike I have on stock head unit..
they stand up pretty well, can hear them at 80mph over wind and exhaust noise,
But, you will not get real bass out of these...but then again, I don't think you can get real bass out of any 4" speaker..
I am happy with them, I also have used the DB302s also on a third bike, same deal..
I did find infinity reference had a 4" speaker that would fit, but I havn't used them..
There's an adaptor available to fit 6.5" speakers to a 5.25" hole. Maybe there's one for your 4" hole that'll allow you to get a bigger speaker in there.
