I made the switch a back in april of this year too. I'm happy with it. Might not reccomend the upgraded screen display. Doesn't show so well in the sun.
My .02
Hi guys, am intending to purchase the Aquatic base model, thought am torn between the upgraded model (with colour screen). Am just gonna change my front speakers to J&M, and does not intend to install any rear or woofer in the future.
However I got the below queries which i cannot seem to find the answers online. Can anyone help to answer the following?
1) If i connect with the bluetooth with an mp3 player / hp, can i select the songs with the harley control?
1a) If I connect my hp or mp3 player via the jack, can I select the songs with the harley control?
I only know the volume switch works for the above.
2) The base model usb is for charging only. For the upgraded model, the usb can charge, and read & play music from connected device, therefore if a MP3 player or hp is connected via the usb cable, can I still select songs from my control?
If it does, that might be the only reason I might wanna fork out another $200 more.

Any replies is greatly appreciated.
first of all. don't nt waste your money on j&m speakers
I haven't been able to navigate around ffrom pandora to spotify, ipod all with the same phone- while on the usb port. Connect to the jack i can run all these functions perfect. To pay the $200 extra for the display you can't read is a waste of hard money. the ***** & push button controls are easy to use with gloves.
Hope this helps,

I probably would of bought one of their systems if they had the base version's display with the uprated version's functions and a rear usb hard wired in.
Was just gonna say. I had the Gen 1 AQ for about 6 months a never had problem with the connectivity. I had an iPhone. But I have heard of other guys having issues with it.

And anyone debating on the upgrade from Aquatic Gen 1 vs Gen 2...spend the extra for the Gen 2 if you can. Worth the little extra and you're probably going to be rocking it for a while!

serious question. is the gen 2 better than a gen 1 with a $200 amp when it comes to most bang for your buck? i run mine with a cvB54 and love it and retained FM reception
