I'm thinking that because this is is all "Haze's" fault, he should come clean on all those inside tricks that makes his systems so bad A$$
Come on buddy...start giving up the good stuff...LOL...LOL
CVOJOE
Those little tricks and adjustments is what keeps the stage so high trying to find that sound that makes your own ear happy.
I have let a few of my little adjustments out but to get them is a meet and greet.
I'll explain how I got there when doing what I do in the BARNYARD but I think I have a pretty good sounding system with my stock 6.5 by HU.
THERE are a few from the forum that have heard my little 4 speaker system live. Some were from the northern part of Wisconsin/Michigan and some from the Chicago area and a few on the eastern states area and I haven't heard a bad a bad comment yet.(and YES I do ride my sled a little and put a few miles on it)
I have a video posted in the video thread (Grant it the highs overpowered my phone Mic when recording) and there are a few more on YouTube under my screen name.
Sorry this got off topic but just replying to the last comment
Hhmmmmm, 77 + bad customer service =
J&M down fall. Just say'n
Hmm zukeeper, I think you got something there...I remember when JM John was on here whining about how hard it was to deal with his customers and what a drag it was! Now 77 gets on here after blowing Slye off for 3 months, after Slye stood up for him in the last brew ha ha, and starts whining about how it was everybody's fault but his! Jason..John..hmm sounds pretty close doesn't it...I thinks it might be the same guy...hmmm ...has anybody seen them in the same room...LMAO!!

so if I understand this right 77 sold Slye a combination (speakers and adapters) that they thought would work. Slye installed and it resulted in speaker damage. Now he wants warranty, damage isn't covered under warranty.
So do you blame the seller for a faulty package or blame the installer for not confirming the fit prior to use?

I don't think it's about pointing fingers and placing blame Bro. It's about taking care of the hands that take care of you. Slye is one of LL's biggest advocates on here for LL's business if not THE biggest. I can pull up several post where Slye is telling an Op to check with LL for good pricing and good customer service. So yeah - I can understand where Slye is coming from. He has his good name and reputation to protect as well.

Too add to Ganns very well stated feedback I will take this head on. First 9 of 10 warranty speakers are from being blown. Root cause always distortion, wrong xover point, too much power with no xover, etc. That is damge. Chew on that for a minute. The get warranty. This is a 50/50 blame imo. I was ready to ditch the indents and asked prior to install. Was told always fine as they came. My gut said ditch them. I chose to stick with how they were installed by LL and most other installers. My biketronics adapters were modified right away as they would have had issues with the cdt components I had. So my blame was not following my gut instinct. This isn't my 1st,2nd, or 3rd rodeo here. I push my speakers. I don't play buy a lambo to drive 55 crap. They had more movement than he anticipated and made contact. So ultimately it is a split, but should go back to the seller to make it right since the issue was addressed before install and what I thought may happen happened. Jason has some replacements coming, is keeping in touch, and I am sorry an intervention had to take place. All other statements are found prior here and time to let the thread idle. Once my replacement arrive I will update and this will be up to the group or moderator to live in archive or die.
