They sound great, more omph than 6.5's for sure. Not as loud as my DD VO's but they have more thump for sure.
Their waterproof, can take direct hit from the water
Looks
and
Their expensive!
Limited install options
I think you'll get more bass response in a 6x9

I love the look but sometimes I think it's a little over the top for my bike but I love the fact that their (lids and M770's) are waterproof. No leaks at all, no worries about rain or when washing the bike. Direct hit from the water hose and ZERO issue (I couldn't say that about the 6x9 lids)
A new set for sale in the Classifieds... gets me thinking... Just starting to piece together a system and would be the first piece. I'd buy all the pieces then install together...
Bunker saw your YouTube vids...When you ran the Arc Moto amp was it powering all 4 speakers? What amp would you suggest in a 2 in the bags 2 in the fairing set up? Don't think I have the cash for a multi amp system and don't want to put any amp in the bags..
yes, was running 600.4, I'm not a fan of that amp but a LOT of people are. It's a tested amp that gives you the power you need. The new Diamond 800.4 seems to be well received so far.
I'm sure more will chime in on an amp option.
I like the SBD lids and the M770's because they are 100% waterproof, no water is getting in my bags PERIOD.
If you want to do some frogskin or other form of water repellent, the newer verion with 8's and horns or some other lids with 6x9's might be a better option but I found it wasn't 100% watertight. Close but no cigar
If ur going with the 770 or 880 in the lids u might go the extra mile and try and get the ones aimed at the back of your ears. I have ridden sleds with both and there is a difference in sound that the rider gets.
