The way you are explaining you issue it sounds like the amp is getting hot and derating itself to keep from self destruction.
As for the LOC I would recommend the BT355 over the PAC SNI 15 or similar LOC as the only convert you high level out of the head unit to low level rca. The BT355 has a HP FILTER incorporated into it to remove unwanted signals coming out of the Rushmore HU

^^^ agree. i did not know you were on a rushmore. my bad
So just for clarification, your running this amp without any type of line leveler?
And if you are running it this way, what flash configuration are you running?
no clue on flash config. I talked to my dealer and they didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about when I took it in to flash it so I decided not to waste my money. For the record, my stereo does sound good most of the time, I just noticed that sometimes the sound degrades but not all the time.
I just bought the BT355 Line Leveler, I hope it's as good as everyone says it is. Any advice on adjustments?
Would not mess with the settings on the BT355 at all since u have an amp w dials (gains, HPF...).
That magic u r needing from the LL is internal as it flattens out the horrific bass curve that is being sent from your HU.
Plug it in and tune the amp based on the sticky. U will find good improvements in your sound quality.
