Default Diamond amp help

I hooked up my 800.4 to sv165. If i turn the volume to 3 bars from max on a 2015 streetglide and bass is flat. I cant get gains very high before the clip light starts flashing.
I am not getting the volume out of the 800.4 like i did with bt2180.
When i turn the gains up to about half i do het the volume but clip light flashes.
The line leveler is set at default.

take the DMM out and measure your output from the amp. When the clip light comes on does it sound distorted? Check the light vs. the DMM and 1000hz tone.

I think MattMich had the same issue.

I used an SMD DD-1 and a DMM and couldn't really get either to work right for me. I called BAB and had them on the phone while adjusting the gains. Johnathan had me put a dynamic song on and turn the gains up until i was getting hints of red while the radio was turned up to its max (found with DD-1). Blue light is fine, solid red is bad. Hope that helps.

Yup. Blue is a warning from what I get out of it.

DMM is a multimeter. (Digital Multi Meter) turn it to AC! NOT DC, and measure the output per channel. Red lead to positive black lead to negative. MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE SPEAKER OUTPUTS FROM THE AMP BEFOR DOING THE FOLLOWING OR YOU WILL TOAST THE SPEAKERS!!!
Measure with the amp gains all the way down to start, run a 1k (1000 Hz) test tone through the head unit with the headunit volume at 75% (about 14 clicks up from 0) THEN with the meter hooked up to the speaker output (one channel at a time red to positive black to negative) slowly turn the gain on that channel up until the clipping light comes on. Do the exact same process on each channel. You will want to see what the voltage reading is per channel when the clipping light starts to come on.
Write down each channels readings and post back here.

Disconnect all the speakers from the amp
Turn the gains on the amp all the way down. Set xovers to Flat
Connect the DMM to one of the speaker outputs on the amp + & -
Set the DMM to VAC. If the DMM is not auto ranging set it to view four digits or more (00.00)
Play the 1000Hz test tone
Set the Rushmore HU to 15 or 16 volume with Bass, Treble and Fade to flat (Middle)
Slowly turn the gains up until the clipping light comes on and make note of the VAC on the DMM
