Hello smart people, after creating the thumbprint on the usb stick and running Naviextras Toolbox, Ver 3.18.5.667499 Config 3.692d. I get this update splash below. I accept and it downloads something to the USB. I am very familiar with updating successfully as I just did the delaer POI. However this time it seems a bit flaking. Sometimes it never gets past the "Authenticating" but when it does I get the error: "Navsync_NoNavContent". I am wondering if this is the update I need to spend 149 clams for. Currently installed is MY-2015
Don't upgrade the stock Nav, it's not worth it I don't think. I bought a 2015 bike, my NAV was 2012 version if I recall correctly. So what I am getting at is, if you "Upgrade" it seems it's NEVER the most current version,,

What you are getting is an update to the existing software that the fingerprint on your thumb drive you downloaded/copied. It is not an update to the data connection in MY-2015. For sure if you want update the nav data you have to pay $149 and you will get MY-2017 that came out this past October.

Don't know if this is pertinent or not, but if you're having trouble with the bike authenticating the update after you've installed it to your usb drive from Naviextras you need to make sure to not plug the usb drive into the bike until after you turn it on and the Navigation system has started up. It takes a few minutes but, after the Navigation system is up, plug the usb drive in and the system will see the update and ask if you want to install.
