Default Speaker wire tie downs?

I guess this is kind of a dumb question. But what are the little adhesive clips called that you zip tie the speaker wire to inside the saddlebag? And where can you get them? 2 questions lol.

They are called wire tie mounts or pads. Can get them at any hardware store

Cable Tie Mounts. Most stores should have them such as auto parts, home stores, hardware stores and Amazon.

I get stuff like that, as well as braided wire loom and spiral wrap at www.cabletiesandmore.com

This is a great thread. I've heard tons of bikes that sound great but the install looks so sloppy!

What size loom should I be looking for to house power, ground, and remote? And is the braided stuff hard to work with compared to the plastic?

The zip tie holders I have used eventually came unglued from my saddlebags. Maybe I had too much tension in the wire, but i didn't think so.

I found the 3/8" (3/16-5/8 size range) fits most of the wiring. You can also pickup some 1/4" very small wire like the remote.

It takes a little practice the first time around. Put the loom on the wire before installing it. The ends will want to fray quickly when cut without a hot knife. You can use a small wire tie or a piece of shrink on the ends to keep them and in place.

Matt,

I had the same issues and went from the 1/2" sq mounts to the 3/4" sq mounts. It's almost twice the pull load rating and I started wiping down the pad contact area with a alcohol wipe down and you have to use a screwdriver to get those things loose.
